To celebrate
Etel Carmona 's 30-year career, the exhibition
"Paisagem Interior" portrays in works the rapprochement between the designer,
David Almeida and
Alberto da Veiga Guignard . Curated by
Ana Carolina Ralston and with an exhibition project signed by the office
entre terras , the exhibition will be on display until September 16th at
Casa Zalszupin - under the joint management of ETEL and Almeida & Dale Galeria de Arte.
The career of the three professionals is presented in landscapes experienced and seen by them through paintings, sculptures and furniture that reconstruct the latent Brazilianness of the country's interior. Wood, the primary raw material for ETEL's work, appears in sustainable management works that combine teachings from indigenous peoples.
According to the curator, the dreamlike landscapes that inspire Etel were also "captured with praise by Guignard and David Almeida, as both speak of the bucolic, the interior and memory". Guignard presents works that are rarely seen, some of them even considered exclusive, of medium and large size, deviating a little from the ordinary.
In one of the synchronicities that sealed the meeting between Etel and David, a connection was discovered with the city of Pindamonhangaba, the place where David painted most of his works and the same place where Etel's mother lived throughout her life. His work was all carried out in the Mantiqueira region and new works will be on display at Casa Zalszupin. Entry is free and visits must be booked on the
