Street art has become popular with everyone, even those who are not familiar with the art world – just look at
Banksy , who has just had a
major immersive exhibition in São Paulo , the largest of his career. More popular than than ever before, vast murals and
underground graffiti artists are increasingly
appreciated as artists in many cities around the world. One of the charms of
graffiti is how much it
represents the country it is located in and its culture . With their own styles and charms, each city has its own artists who can be found on various walls down the street. But some are definitely better than others. – at least, that’s according to luggage storage company
Radical Storage , which scoured everything from Google Maps
tags and travel blogs to data from online community Street Art Cities to find
the best destination in Europe for street art. . The study also took into account how well the artworks were rated, as well as how many times they were posted on social media. Topping the list was
London , which had a large amount of recorded
graffiti (
235 pieces ) and a high average rating (4.6 out of five). Next came
Paris , which had the
largest increase in the amount of recorded street art of any city on the list ; followed by long-time street art

The best neighborhoods for street art
The study also revealed the
best neighborhoods in Europe for street art.
London also topped the survey with Shoreditch, which has highly rated street art and is widely shared on social media. The second neighborhood was Mitte in Berlin; and the third, Madrid’s historic Lavapiés district. Below are Radical Storage’s top ten neighborhoods in Europe for street art:
