Elegance enters the city of Rome, Italy, at the new
Bulgari Hotel , located in Piazza Augusto Imperatore. This is the ninth property of Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, which features
114 luxurious rooms and suites .
Like the hotel's public spaces, the accommodations were designed by Milan-based architecture studio
ACPV Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel , which is responsible for the
unique look of all nine Bulgari hotels and
resorts around the world.
Rome's Studio Polis – led by architect Gennaro Farina – curated the design, oversaw the building's restoration work and was involved in urban planning.
“The Bulgari Hotel in Rome is not just a new jewel in the Eternal City, but a true
contemporary and
innovative Roman monument that unites the best of hospitality and gastronomy and sets a new global standard,” explains Bulgari Group CEO
Jean-Christophe Babin. "In addition, it is a true
cultural center with a public library on Roman art and architecture and unique statues from the world-famous Torlonia collection, such as Emperor Augustus welcoming our guests in the entrance hall," he adds.
The new Roman hotel is
strategically located in one of the best spots in the city of Rome: in the central Piazza Augusto Imperatore, in the heart of the Campo Marzio district, just a few steps from Via del Corso and Via del Babuino, the iconic Spanish Steps and the emblematic Bulgari flag on Via Condotti.
The Bulgari Hotel Roma building, built between 1936 and 1938 and inaugurated in 1950 by Alcide De Gasperi, Italian Prime Minister, is positioned opposite the recently renovated Mausoleum of Emperor Augustus and represents a fine example of
rationalist architecture in Rome.
