Hotel da Glória, in Rio, will become a luxury residential building

The iconic Hotel da Glória , which has been a defining feature of Rio's skyline for over 100 years and has seen its apartments host illustrious historical figures, will now be renovated into a luxury residential development with 266 apartments ranging from 77 to 311 m² . The privileged view – facing Guanabara Bay – and the building's illustrious past will be decisive for its reopening: closed since 2008, it will be reopened as Glória Residencial and will have a square meter valued at R$25 thousand .

The Hotel da Glória was opened in 1922 with a project signed by Joseph Gire , a French architect also responsible for the Copacabana Palace .
