With the development of new technologies and concerns about waste production and sustainability, the architecture, decoration, design and landscaping market is constantly searching for innovative solutions that promote greener living.
CASACOR is the stage of launching these ideas. In Paraná, in 2014, the exhibition presented the use of containers in civil construction with a 90 m² house assembled with just two 40-foot units and two 20-foot units. In the 2017 edition,
CASACOR Paraná has 17 containers, provided by Total Storage Brasil
, which house the most diverse environments. This growth in the show also accompanies the demand for this solution in the market, which increased by around 25% in the last year alone. .
Right at the entrance to the exhibition, three 40-foot units form the
Container Studio , designed by the Leal Ribas Engenharia e Arquitetura office, led by architects Denise Leal Ribas and Carolina Leal Ribas. In 125
m2 , innovation, style and sustainability prove that it is possible to a new look for the rustic shipping container.
Another unit was the base for the
Playroom and Children's Playground . Reforested wood and other details reinforce the space's sustainable proposal, as explained by architect Jaqueline Siebert. "Nowadays, buildings need to be more sustainable and resources such as green roofs and vertical gardens , which brings vegetation into spaces, contributes a lot to this”.
The
Mels Brushes Home Fragrances commercial space, designed by Eliana Cunha, was also designed inside a container. As the pieces have a useful life of around 20 years in the naval industry, after this period, they would be discarded into the environment, however, with the reused in civil construction, they gain a new look and also a new functionality. In addition to being sustainable, the construction method is cleaner, faster and has a different aesthetic appeal than common masonry.
