Located in Riviera de São Lourenço, on the coast of São Paulo, this beach house was designed to accommodate a young couple with two children who were looking for a place to house and receive family and friends on the weekends. The project, designed by the
Raiz Arquitetura office, led by architects and partners
Alexandre Ferraz and
Elias Souza , focuses on providing solutions that allow guests to enjoy
moments of leisure and rest while also connecting with the elements of the region's
native forest .

The project begins with a
contemporary façade , the result of a set of volumes that blend with natural elements – such as the aluminum slats that cover part of the second floor. Integration with nature is one of the
key points of the project: through the openings strategically inserted in the social area, residents can enjoy the richness of the natural textures present in both the landscaping and the natural vegetation of the Atlantic Forest present in the surroundings of the house.

To fully explore the permeability between the spaces, the use of glass was essential. On the ground floor, for example,
the spaces are easily accessible from the field of vision , especially the
kitchen area, which – designed to be the heart of the house – serves as one of the points of connection between the internal and external uses. Another highlight of the project are the
camouflaged doors combined with the
aluminum panels , which sought to make the space
cleaner and camouflage the accesses to the residence's bedrooms.

The connection to the second floor, where the private areas are located, is made by means of a staircase. There are
five bedrooms , two of which are for the children, two for visitors and a master suite for the couple, which stands out for its
large window without lintels . Another highlight in this area is the installation of a “
glass box ” for the private bathroom, which can be visually connected to the bedroom or isolated by means of a blackout curtain.
