In the
Houses category, professional Otto Felix, from the
CASACOR cast, was nominated with a breathtaking project, carried out in 2016, in the interior of São Paulo. It is the
OF House , a 410
m² house, created in partnership with Tici Andriani - Interior Design. (Denilson Machado / CASACOR)
"The idea was to translate the cosmopolitan life, of integrated spaces to welcome people. In addition, we decided to add a modern atmosphere, which values nature", explains Otto Felix. Designed in neutral colors and natural materials, such as wood and stone, the house maintains a simple essence and elegance. The concept of the project was to incorporate the outdoor spaces into the social areas of the house, bringing nature into the living areas. To allow this integration without losing privacy in the more intimate areas of the house, the main divisions between the rooms were made through wooden slat doors. This way, the resident has the option of integrating the environments or not, according to their needs. (Denilson Machado / CASACOR)
The main protagonist of the project is the volume that corresponds to the social areas of the house with the gourmet area, living room and dining room. This space is surrounded by glass panels, which open completely, allowing the passage of natural light and ventilation, creating a fluid and contemporary atmosphere. The residence also has a kitchen, TV room, master suite, guest suite and service area, distributed in a private block in an "L" shape, which opens outwards through wooden doors. For the construction, the architect opted for the Light Steel Frame (LSF) system, which does not require bricks and concrete, and are replaced by a galvanized steel structure covered with panels ready to receive paint and coatings. This choice made the construction cleaner and generated much less waste than conventional construction. The choice of natural and warm materials and coverings, such as stone and wood, also provides better thermal comfort and a much greater feeling of coziness. The lighting, which prevails in everyday life, is natural , and at night a lighting project highlights the architectural and landscaping details. (Denilson Machado / CASACOR)
