Architecture firm BEHIVE has designed an oval meditation hall for the Shanghai headquarters of Rainbow Arches, a brand focused on contemporary meditation and physical therapy based on Chinese colorization energy theory.

Housing an additional meditation space, a psychological office, a café and a lounge area, the project aims to create an inspiring spiritual space.
BEHIVE architects see the newly designed oval space as a metaphorical expression of many things: a spaceship that roams the universe, or a cradle that protects newborns. "The dynamic form of the shell creates a space of fluidity and reflects our multidimensional states of mind," said the architects.

Open or closed, the oval space can accommodate a variety of activities in different settings, serving as a meeting and training room for employees, a meditation space for customers, or even as an entertainment space.

Two entrances are located at opposite corners and several openings along the shell allow visual interaction between the interior and exterior, while introducing the city view into the heart of the space.
