Paula Neder and Coletivo PN+ – Julia’s Room. There’s room for many spaces in a 7-year-old girl’s little world, and they all fit in here: it’s a place to study, rest, read, draw, play, get dressed, and let your imagination run wild. With almost no changes to the original architectural aspects of the house, the project features natural materials and neutral tones. The timeless decor allows the furniture to be used and adapted over the years, reinforcing the idea of conscious consumption. (André Nazareth)
There are no limits to the universes that run through the imagination of a 7-year-old girl. This is also the case with Júlia's Room , a project by Paula Neder in partnership with Coletivo PN+ for the 30th anniversary edition of CASACOR Rio . All the areas that are part of young Júlia's life can be found here: the room, in addition to being a resting area, also serves as a place to study, read, draw, play, get dressed and let her imagination run wild.
The original architectural elements of the house were maintained with almost no intervention. In the bedroom, the patterned panel makes a beautiful backdrop for the bed, in addition to adding color to the decor and encouraging contact with nature. In the other elements, neutral and pastel tones predominate. The project as a whole was designed to stimulate the girl's creativity and development .
The carpentry runs throughout the composition, whether in the cabinets, the bed or the shelves in niches. Timeless, the furniture was designed to be adapted over the years , without the need for a complete renovation, reinforcing the idea of conscious consumption. A highlight is the inverted hanging garden , which is also a lamp, positioned next to the bed. Visit Júlia's Room, by Paula Neder and Coletivo PN+ on the 3D Virtual Tour here .
