Thursday, October 1st, at 7:30 pm --[lecture] The Beautiful Brutal: art and architecture between crime and crisis with Angélica Oliveira Adverse . The historical definition of beauty after the 18th century oscillated between aesthetic value and use value. Pragmatic aestheticization through an attitude of good taste founded the culture of distinction in the field of arts, architecture and design. The cult of beauty created social relief by defining hierarchies between popular taste and elite taste. Thinking about the brutality of beauty is also reflecting on the construction of new meanings for the definition of good or bad taste.
Friday, October 2nd, at 7:30 pm [lecture] Culture and Brazilianness at Casa Cor Minas 2015 with Leo Bahia. The conversation will discuss how the main cultural movements that formed the diversity of the cultural identity of the Brazilian people are present in this year's exhibition.
Saturday, October 3rd, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm [dance occupation] Home Invasion carried out by Coletivo Movasse in partnership with Mergulho 747 and Espaço Myra de Arte . In the artistic intervention, the dancers will appropriate the environments of CASA COR through contemporary dance. The performance will allow spectators and artists to mingle with architecture, decoration and design.
