Art is the guiding principle behind the design of the boutique hotel's reception created by Lenora Lohrisch and Wair de Paula . There are striking works such as a large sculpture by Frans Krajcberg on the main wall, as well as pieces by Bruno Giorgi, Macaparana, Martha Boto and Marcelo Catalano . This is a space that could easily belong to an art collector with a passion for design and architecture .

"These aspects of collecting are very dear to me. They do not belong to the world of art as 'decoration', but rather as a manifestation of the taste of the owner of the house, or the environment, and their particular understanding of art", says Wair de Paula.

In addition to the art, the space has maintained its original ceiling (which belonged to an old church) and has been lit up, making it even more grandiose. The carpet is reminiscent of the design of Burle Marx's gardens and there are books everywhere. Elements that make the space a place for socializing and contemplation , a place to really be and not just pass by for a few seconds.

CASACOR Rio 2023 takes place once again at Residência Brando Barbosa , which, in this edition, was transformed into a boutique hotel with 44 rooms decorated by some of the most renowned professionals in architecture, interior design and landscaping.
