The 28th edition of CASACOR Paraná is open from June 26th to August 14th, 2022 at the Old Aquacenter Batel, currently the AQUA Building , located at Rua Álvaro Alvim, 91 – Seminário, Curitiba, which also hosted the exhibition last year. Intending to repeat the success of the historic previous edition – largely due to the swimming pools in the old sports center, which were used to create leisure environments – CASACOR Paraná is back renewed, with its social spaces redesigned by 38 teams of professionals , between veterans and new talents in architecture, interior design and landscaping, who make up the cast of this year's exhibition and present their interpretations of the national theme of the CASACOR exhibitions in 2022, ' Infinity Particular '. “Our exhibition is unique, incomparable and unmistakable. We unite art, culture, design and entertainment in a single address ”, highlights the director of CASACOR Paraná, Marina Nessi . Among the new features of this 28th edition is the inauguration of a new floor called Clube dos Gourmets : "the club will be open to chefs and food lovers. In addition to the Restaurant operated by Inspirar Gourmet and Cervejaria Nashville , we will also have a Café operated by BRØD Bakery , an artisanal bakery withan emphasis on Nordic cuisine”, highlights the director. A democratic project that favors conviviality and the cultivation of good times between friends and family, in an environment dedicated to art, culture and gastronomy. With an intimate proposal, the project unfolds in several environments that invite visitors to enjoy good times. In its 320m², they propose a sectorized environment that opens up through a large hall that leads to other comfortable and versatile environments, including an American Bar, with classic and signature drinks, indoor and outdoor lounges with fireplaces and a show kitchen. Shai Kelm | Quadrat Arquitetura - Café CASACOR. Located in the heart of CASACOR Paraná, the Café is a haven in the city. Inspired by the concept of Nordic countries combined with comfort and sophistication, it provides a unique experience. The dry branches are reminiscent of the Scandinavian winter, while the greenery brings the freshness of our tropical country, creating an unusual identity. The wood panels warm the environment and contrast with the cold, natural stones. A modern and unique design in every detail of the space.

03/40 -
Flávia Glanert and Moca Arquitetura - Reveev Resort Suite. The creative line of the project brings the sophistication of a hotel to the home with warmth and comfort. A moment of surprise for the visitor, who is enveloped by the raw touch of natural elements, with a mix of urban materials. Based on this premise, the space is designed with the organic nature of the furniture and the bed as the protagonist, in conjunction with the straight lines of the carpentry that give order to the project, seeking to create a functional space. In addition to the colors, textures and shapes, the lighting is also designed to warm up the space, helping to immerse the public.

05/40 -
Arthur Calliari - Cidade In Natura Pastilhart. When looking from above, it is possible to see only what is known, but when exploring it, getting closer to the interior of the environment, the user discovers a space that goes beyond their expectations: nature, represented by the idea of the ocean surrounded by the sand of the beaches, which in turn are permeated by the forest and, finally, proposes a question: what still do we have to explore? The answer lies in the individual experience of discovery.

06/40 -
Marcelo Lopes - Designer's Loft by Celmar. The loft inspired by designer Hans Donner in a single room, encompasses all the functionalities of a home. Through a loose perimeter volume and curved ends, in the center of the room, the space is sectorized. In the sober and contrasting colors of the environment, the project conceptualizes time, what it is, and what was before and after. The points of color are valued for the neutrality of the environment. The curved shapes refer to the silhouette of the watch and the particular organicity of life. The vertically elongated lines enhance the generous ceiling height of the space, providing visitors with an experience of the grandeur of time.

Maristela Penkal and Julia Penkal - Couple's Intimate Being. In a post-pandemic world, a new look at the home is born. The proposal for Estar Íntimo do Casal was versatility. In the Kintsugi technique, the cracks in the floor were filled with gold dust, symbolizing that life's scars are healed with knowledge and learning. The rustic textures of the walls suggest acceptance of our imperfections. Windows bring us closer to nature. The iron bookcase is deconstructed in its form and function. Irregular lines in the furniture and ceiling refer to movement, with an organic appeal in the accessories. In the center, multifunctionality in the relaxation of home office pieces and countertops.

House 88 - Autumn Gardens. Inspired by the most charming season of the year, we brought soft, neutral and earthy tones to the space. In addition to being a functional space designed for Him and Her, with an autumnal color palette, the space is a parallel universe, full of details that awaken a feeling of tranquility and peace. It is an invitation for you to disconnect from the outside world and dive into your own private infinity.

Jane Rachele - Home Office: My Office on the Beach. The new needs of living during the pandemic period served as the starting point for the home office project “my office on the beach”. Karolinna Venturi - Children's Room. Seeking a light and contemporary interpretation, the project for the children's room was developed. A playful space that allows for use in different ways: playing, sleeping and thus experiencing the space, allowing the child to develop their identity and individuality, while creating affective memories with the environment where they spend a good part of their childhood. The importance of creating comfortable, safe and playful spaces for children is increasingly recognized, so the space was designed to go through the years together, thus being present in all phases of the child's growth.

14/40 -
Camila Rocha - Concierge. The creation of a wooden box embraces the environment, bringing a sense of welcome to the space. And following this idea, the entrance portico of the space was created with the same wood finish, and runs throughout the space creating panels and high shelves ending in a bench, giving the place a sense of continuity and fluidity. To refer to AQUA, the headquarters building of CASACOR Paraná, a tiled panel in a blue gradient was created, bringing back the affective memory of so many visitors who already knew the property before it hosted the exhibition.

JL Boutique Design - Grand Lounge. In 2022, after a difficult period of isolation due to the pandemic, we felt the need to reconnect and get closer to people. We missed connections, conversations, and laughter. Based on this feeling and combining architecture and scenography, we created the "Grand Lounge", an environment designed to welcome and connect with people. Its shape came from the fusion of natural elements, exploring stone and wood in great profusion, generating a natural atmosphere. Complemented by the various cozy shapes of the furniture to welcome your visitors. Allow yourself to sit down, chat, have a drink and enjoy this moment in our private infinity.

17/40 -
André Henning - Bar Lounge. With the concept of an urban bar and the allusion of being located in front of a square as a meeting point and setting for moments, Matiz Bar brings its own unique atmosphere. Together with the brand concept, conceived by the architect and his partners, Matiz comes from the gradient and the combination of various colors that awaken surprises and unexpected feelings. Through light and its projection on the built elements, textures and colors are revealed, allowing mutation and dynamism to the space, bringing with it different sensations and new perceptions of use, boosting human exchange with a chameleon-like design. In focus, the visitor as the protagonist interacts immersively in the project in its experience corners.

18/40 -
Givago Ferentz Arquitetos - Bistrot. The Bistrot's concept is to bring the universe closer to people in a mysterious way. The project combines the comfort of a restaurant with the entertainment of a lounge, using elements such as planets and stars to create a scenic space. The space features living areas with textures, sofas, tables of different types, a bar and a DJ station, which will allow the place to be transformed into a lounge for nighttime events and, during the day, to be sober, with bright lighting and background music. Just like the universe, the Bistrot will be constantly changing.

20/40 -
Ediane Tramujas - Home Theater. In the era of Stay Home, the concept of the Home Theater project was to create a minimalist atmosphere, with few elements, but lots of comfort and technology, in a super inviting environment. With a high ceiling covered by a muxarabi panel and intense colors, the environment conveys the true concept of a refuge. A cozy sofa together with side chairs accommodate the spectators in moments of relaxation. The wooden portico and the LED profiles create an intimate look, giving the room a modern feel. The space features a circuit built with various natural materials and plant species, encouraging the user to begin the process of reconnecting with their essence. Feelings, flavors and aromas are metaphorically imprinted in this space in a contemporary reinterpretation, with an elegant and at the same time simple essence, revealing the visceral side of women, their emotions and the deep connection with their origins. In the Metáforas Criare kitchen, the culinary space is presented as a way to redefine traditions and deconstruct sociocultural paradigms by valuing architecture.
(Eduardo Macarios)
24/40 -
Cynthia Karas - Brewery. The style adopted is a mix of American breweries combined with Brazilian youthfulness with a cosmopolitan touch. Scenic lighting with a focus on pendants that enhance the counter, and a panel made with beer bottles. The goal is to enhance the customer's pleasure in experiencing the experiences within an irreverent and cool space, breaking away from the conventional bars and restaurants and exploring freedom in decoration. The biggest challenge: balancing the concept of a brewery without falling into the definition of a bar.
(Eduardo Macarios)

Mapogos Design - Off Office Garage Audi. In a chaotic and volatile world, what would it be like if you could connect and live in a world of your own? Much more than a simple garage, the space breaks all paradigms to create the Off Office, a place of refuge for the body and soul, which combines sustainable materials and multifunctional environments to provide comfort and sophistication. With deep roots in the concept of Liquid Modernity by philosopher Zygmunt Bauman, the environment is an invitation to filter the precepts and approvals imposed by society, a bubble full of hobbies, moments of inspiration and well-being.

The neutral color palette forms a cohesive block that acts as a backdrop, highlighting the caramel-colored MDF panels covered in natural leather, which bring life to the space. According to CASACOR 's communication and relationship director, Pedro Ariel , an experienced trend researcher and responsible for defining the brand's themes, “in the last two years the event has discussed the house as a hub for many activities, but also brought reflection about digital nomadism and the sense of impermanence . However, more recently, our eyes have turned to issues such as regeneration , far beyond sustainability — in the sense of recovering what we have already destroyed —, social inclusion, hyperdigital homes, Metaverse and NFTs (digital works of art)”.
About the AQUA Building
(Eduardo Macarios/CASACOR)
Located on Rua Álvaro Alvim, the AQUA Building, a multi-sports center that remained closed for 15 years, marked the lives of many Curitiba residents who began swimming and exercising there. In addition to the imposing swimming pools, the structure with almost 6 thousand m² of built area includes two generous front public squares, an internal courtyard, spaces for living and working and, this year, opens to the public a fourth floor where a mix of gastronomic and cultural experiences. The building's occupancy for the second consecutive year reflects the success of the previous edition. “We follow strict health protocols and have made a substantial investment in modern sustainability and technology solutions. The uniqueness of swimming pools as social environments was a show in itself, which served as a bold frame for spaces that reflect contemporary living ”, explains the exhibition director, Marina Nessi.
The theme 'Private Infinity'
This year's theme, Infinito Particular , references biographical houses that go beyond styles. CASACOR curators, Livia Pedreira , Pedro Ariel Santana and Cris Ferraz , supported by trend research, invite the show's cast to reflect on the need to design environments that prioritize physical, mental and spiritual well-being ; harmony, balance and comfort. “The home of the hyperdigital era, enclosed in itself and hyperconnected, is more sustainable, diverse, supportive and loving. A refuge centered on well-being , where each person can print their story. Colors, art, furniture, family souvenirs, textures, plants, perfumes”, adds Livia Pedreira.
