Brazilianness is broadly translated into the 38 environments of CASA COR Minas , which has completed 21 editions. The interpretations of what is best in the country and the region range from the exuberant colors that refer to fauna and flora, to the sinuous lines of rivers, mountains and Niemeyer's modernism, as well as references to mineral treasures and even the layout the layout of the environments, which encourage pleasant conversation and celebrate this very Minas Gerais habit. Everything in line with trends. For executive director Eduardo Faleiro, CASA COR Minas can anticipate the future and point to new directions in architecture and decoration. “The world is constantly changing and evolving and this is directly reflected in the ways of living and housing interacts with urban spaces”, he says. [galeria-abril id='28164' type='slider'] Valuing local and sustainable Local industries, factories and artists are highlighted alongside the value of sustainability. All energy used by the mansion is 100% renewable, generated by photovoltaic cells. “This year's event brings many new features from a sustainability point of view in response to the current moment of great scarcity of certain resources, such as water. We need to adapt to our times, with special attention to social and environmental issues”, says Juliana Grillo, commercial director of CASA COR Minas. Materials such as OSB, fabrics made from plastic bottles, LED lamps, containers, reduction and reuse of construction waste and other intelligent solutions add to the sense of preservation of the property on Avenida das Latânias, overlooking Lagoa da Pampulha. And another new feature: visitors who arrive by bike will have a bike rack available and will receive a 20% discount on ticket prices.
CASA COR Minas defends the promotion of the Pampulha architectural complex to Cultural Heritage of Humanity - the result will be published in June 2016, in Bonn, Germany. “This is the fifth edition of the exhibition we hold in the region. Our audience loves the events in Pampulha, which always gives us wonderful views. Being there this year has a special taste”, says director João Grillo, at the helm of CASA COR Minas since the first edition. Stay tuned and don't forget to check out the photo gallery!
