Held in the imposing Palácio do Bispo, Casa Cor Campinas could simply bring new interpretations of the style of the property, built in the 1950s - which would already be a great success. But the 57 professionals involved in the 37 spaces went further: they incorporated classic elements and updated the spaces with materials, functions and comfort required today, with proposals ranging from retro to modern. Hence the eclecticism of some proposals. It is the best of both worlds, past and present, which visitors will experience between October 22 and December 7. In apartments, lofts, studios and especially in outdoor spaces, it is possible to detect original features of the building, which dialogue with contemporary desires for more contact with nature. In some cases, the original arrangement of the trees in the location determines the layout of the projects. And, not by chance, wood is highlighted in the finishes, panels, floors and, of course, in the furniture. Some, in fact, are an expression of Brazilian colonialism and make the mix even richer. The color palettes also follow the natural language, with many beiges and browns, as well as the striking textures that enhance walls, floors, rugs, carpets and other details that reinvigorate the relationship with nature. The tropical style also punctuates some projects and another novelty is the painting of walls in corten steel. At the end of the exhibition, the building will be transformed into the Archdiocesan Museum of Sacred Art of Campinas, which should preserve some elements of the projects on display at Casa Cor Campinas. A mix of styles that will certainly make history! Check out the exhibition in the image gallery.
