The appreciation of local production and the appreciation of timeless design were the themes that marked
Larissa Lóh 's debut at
CASACOR Paraná 2019 . The 77 square meter space was inspired by a cosmopolitan and relaxed family, which values organic materials and prioritizes sustainability concepts without sacrificing comfort and technology.
The
Young Family Living and Hall is marked by the contrast of light and dark colors, with emphasis on the beautiful plum tone of the large slatted panel that fills the living room. “The plum-toned panel with carpentry reliefs alludes to industrial metal siding and is present in all areas of the space, connecting the layout and bringing unity through texture,” explains the architect.
The mix of rustic and noble elements are part of the eco-luxury concept, which dictated the choice of materials that make up the finish, furniture, works of art and objects. The marble-coated panel contrasts with the plum tone and connects to the organic textile sculpture. “In addition to aesthetics, the choice of marble is in line with the appreciation of local products and labor.”
The lamps and the Javanese silk and fiber rug are manufactured in Curitiba, in order to promote local products. “Since I started this project for CASACOR, some objects such as crystal bottles and some books have been ‘finding’ me and I have started the selection process”, he recalls.
The architect does away with fads, betting on glass and metal, described as “ancestral” elements, for the furniture details. A large iron and MDF bookcase is still part of the back of the living room. The color palette allows art to prevail - the neutral base composed of white, caramel and gray makes it possible for the artwork to bring more personality and exclusivity to the project.
In addition to Universos Paralelos, two sculptures in felt and cotton and two others in porcelain, all signed by Barbera van der Tempel, are in the space. “These are pieces in which the artist sought to find the limits of the materials, exploring – in a sensitive and unique way – to their maximum”.
In the hall, the Tauari wood tunnel creates a natural atmosphere together with the Ipê swing made of nautical rope, by designer Sergio Matos. The piece exudes Brazilianness and shows off exquisite craftsmanship. The contemporary piece – designed based on ancient artisan techniques – is the star of the hall and has the advantage of being able to be used in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
