If there is one place in the house that makes all this possible, it is the
living room , which, as the word suggests,
is a space that invites you to stay . Is there anything better than receiving friends and family to socialize and enjoy the pleasures of getting together? When we visited
CASACOR Santa Catarina 2023 , we found project ideas with solutions designed for moments like these. The concept is all about
integrating spaces .

Essence, by Progetta Studio
Progetta Studio - Essenza. (Lio Simas/CASACOR)
The architect duo
Allan Chierighini and
Graziella Oliveira invested in a
gourmet living space, ideal for gastronomic experiences. With an emphasis on the wine ritual, the space has a
home theater as a special attraction. The furniture layout prioritized a
natural flow through the room , without obstructing the main circulation areas and
facilitating social interaction . “We incorporated organically shaped sofas and layered rugs to soften the more vibrant shades of red, whether for entertaining, relaxing or both,” they explained.
Integrated Living, by Aline Fagundes

The natural landscape and the view of the property surrounding the exhibition, which is made up of lots of greenery and the sea, guided the
layout of the
Integrated Living project, designed by architect
Aline Fagundes . The large space is shared by
three rooms: living room, dining room and TV room . The first two, which as the professional rightly pointed out, are where people spend more time together, socializing, are close to the window, as if inviting people to observe the contemplative exterior. The TV room was further away. The setting is marked by the sharp contrast between the stone floor and the wooden ceiling. The gabion-based structure is made up of a translucent marble top. This is an unusual combination, to say the least, but it adds
a lot of personality to the space, which also encourages
people to come together through music – around the piano – and wine.
Living Intertwined, by Barbara Ramos

Inspired by her grandparents' old house – with wooden floors and walls – architect
Bárbara Ramos designed
Living Entre Laços , giving it a new look for modern times. That's why she brought a neutral palette, highlighting compositions between black and white. The
textures of the surfaces , such as the black wooden wall that surrounds the entire space, and the fabrics, such as the
bouclé used on the sofa, give it a cozy touch. The
generous white rug that embraces the room, “ready to spread out on,” Bárbara emphasized, enhances the feeling of comfort in the living room.
Loft Coragem Bell Arte, by PW Arquitetura
In fact, it plays with the boldness of
contrast on the surfaces : on the floor, a covering that refers to parquet, already old, well-used, worn, and, on the wall, the modernity of stainless steel.
Perfectly Imperfect, by Carolina Pellenz and Rafael Kreusch

Based on the Japanese philosophy
of wabi-sabi , which talks about the cycle of life, the architect duo
Carolina Pellenz and
Rafael Kreusch created the Perfectly Imperfect space, a living room that combines living and dining. The project emphasizes
organic shapes and
asymmetrical imperfections , different tones in the same wood, and textures. “We sought to use these elements
to create a natural living environment,” they said. The
generous sofa with loose modules and the swivel armchair allow for different possibilities of interaction between those who frequent the space. The dining table, which has
six chairs but seats up to 10 people , follows the same proposal. “The idea is to create a
changeable environment that can accompany the evolution, the growth of the family, for example, without having to get rid of any furniture, but rather adapt what is already there, according to new needs”, highlighted Carolina.
