It was with the feeling of enjoying the freedom and well-being of a condominium of houses, in the city of São José do Rio Preto, in the state of São Paulo, that a couple, accompanied by their young daughters, entrusted the architects of the office
Paiva e Passarini Arquitetura with the dream of designing their new home. The result is a
389 m² house with an architecture based on integrated environments that highlight natural light and ventilation.
In the interior décor, the contemporary interpretation is highlighted by the appreciation for
Brazilian design , with the presence of pieces signed by
Sergio Rodrigues and Jacqueline Terpins , not to mention other various details full of affective memory.
The pool, surrounded by
landscaping, combines nature with aluminum and synthetic fiber furniture, designed for family breakfasts.
The
gourmet area is seen as an extension of the outdoor area and, as the residence is located in a region where temperatures reach over 30°C, the
architecture emphasizes special attention to creating opportunities for natural ventilation and facilitating the installation of air conditioning. A sofa received a small adjustment in the configuration of the backrest to make it possible for everyone to chat, regardless of where they are located.
The
guest bathroom , designed especially for the guests of the house, is located close to the entrance and enchants with its marble countertop and carpentry that decorates its interior, in an extension originating from the entrance hall.
Integrated into the entrance hall, wine cellar and dining room, the living room reveals its uniqueness with one of its sides made up of a wooden structure that incorporates a sliding door that mimics the large social area.
On the other side, the generous openings allow for cross ventilation and the linen curtains gently control the light. In the organization carried out by the duo, there are no visual barriers in the continuous spaces, but rugs and furniture fulfill the role of delimiting the areas, without interrupting the integration. Among the references of Brazilian design, there are pieces such as the armless sofa by
Studio Faro, accompanied by the coffee table created by
Jacqueline Terpins . On the left, the green armchairs, by
Líder Interiores , and on the right, the Poltrona Mole, by
Sergio Rodrigues . “In the background, we made sure to add the photograph by
Flavia Junqueira , from Zipper Galeria”, details Vanessa.
The
dining room is one of the most inviting places in the house, since it is connected to the outside area by large glass windows that add to the acclaimed feeling of spaciousness. Among the precautions listed by the couple, the choice of curtains was essential both for the pleasantness of the space and for preserving the furniture due to the high incidence of sunlight that occurs in the middle of the day.
The
kitchen décor gave way to a fine-tuned palette of light colors with subtle touches of darker wood. Designed with the focus on integration with the social area, Claudia and Vanessa once again favored the free will of their clients, who could divide the spaces with a panel, as they deemed necessary.
A symbol of comfort, the couple's
bedroom features a very complete set of furniture, starting with the large bed, followed by the reading chair, the TV on the panel, the side table and a selection of top-quality coverings and linens.
As expected, the slatted wood covers the half wall where the green linen headboard is located. In the
playroom for the youngest residents, a mix of soft colors provide well-being, accessibility and encourage independence with lower furniture and resistant, easy-to-clean materials.
