Stone, wood, and other materials evoke the aesthetic of vernacular constructions in this 39 m2 bathroom, while the lighting recreates the impression of an outdoor bath, harking back to ancestral purification rituals. Glass is explored in different textures – fluted, acid-etched, and miniboreal – that reaffirm its value as a timeless element. Its presence, in small pieces, on the panel positioned in front of the window alludes to the process of meiosis and the multiplication of life, establishing a play of shadow and transparency with natural light. The forest green marble of the countertop was chosen for its unique aesthetic: its colors resemble the Amazon rainforest seen from above, as if the brown veins reproduce the course of rivers.
