Due to the changes caused by the pandemic, within four walls, the kitchen has once again become the heart of the home . The architect believes that behavior has been impacted by the necessary health and safety measures. "The kitchen is taking on a more prominent role in homes. Many people , who was previously unfamiliar with this area of the house, had to create a relationship in one way or another", he says.

" DECA wants to emphasize the kitchen line, new sinks , accessories . We will take great advantage of its integration with the space as a whole, the kitchen as an extension of the living room , using the brand's pieces inserted in a large stone island with organic format . I will work with natural elements bringing the movement , fluidity and life of water to the environment", adds the architect.
Original House and Minimalism
Driven by the theme that permeates and weaves together all the exhibitions from north to south of the country, "Casa Original" invites participating professionals to review and revisit the concept. Gabriel Bordin sees , more than ever, the home as a safe shelter and a place of permanence .
"I believe that in the midst of all this madness that we are living , the home has regained an essence that for many was lost , as a place of safety, shelter and permanence . The rush of modern life meant that many homes had a connotation almost a mere support base between hectic routine, work and travel”, argues Bordin.

Japanese aesthetics and poetics are also a reference used by the professional to create a space for kinesthetic experience, combining a certain air of mystery and minimalism .
About Gabriel Bordin
In the architect's second participation in CASACOR Santa Catarina , which was in the 2018 edition , Bordin stood out with Casa Ônix , a private refuge structured in glass and reclaimedwood designed to occupy any quiet corner of the globe. The integrated and practical space, also based on sustainable construction techniques, it was launched as a response to contemporary hectic days, an escape to connect life and human beings away from digital networks. The following year, he surprised once again with the Cloud Nine commercial environment, in partnership with Reveev, where he demystified the use of mattress materials in the decoration itself. Light as a breath and with a light color palette, the room materialized the effect of a good night's sleep, when we reach the maximum level of relaxation with the sensation of "floating with the clouds".Both projects are competing for the 2021 Work of the Year award promoted for the fourth consecutive year by the Archdaily Brasil portal.
