A few years ago, having an automated home was only possible in Hollywood movies. However, great stories have inspired technology developers, who have created various devices to make your home more modern. The home of the future "senses" its residents, recognizes their voices and makes their routine much more practical. Check out six ideas that can already be applied in Brazilian reality.

1. Automation

With home automation systems, it is now possible to control various functions of the house from the screen of your cell phone. Applications allow you to determine the lighting of the entire house, the music that will play in the room, open the garage door, turn on the air conditioning and even schedule the cleaning of your pool.

2. Personal Assistants

Devices like Google Home and Amazon Alexa work as virtual assistants activated by voice commands that interact with various platforms, connecting with other services and electronics. The systems have thousands of tasks that allow the user to listen to music, check the weather forecast, shop, monitor traffic, turn the lights on or off, and manage household activities and schedules.

3. Smart appliances

Home appliances are the target of most residential innovations. Robot vacuum cleaners that clean the house without anyone being around were the big sensations of the 2010s. Refrigerators with touch screens were also launched, which identify products and adapt the temperature according to need, make shopping lists and even suggest recipes with stored food. Ovens and stoves are now equipped with safety devices that warn when the meal is ready and even suggest appropriate programs for each preparation. In the laundry sector, there has also been great progress. Small and large companies seek to develop machines that wash, dry and iron clothes with quality.
