Brazilian House Museum exhibits furniture by Ettore Sottsass

The exhibition reveals emblematic pieces created by the professional and talks about his career in Italian design

The Instituto Italiano di Cultura de São Paulo and the Museu da Casa Brasileira (MCB) have joined forces to bring to Brazil the exhibition “ Sottsass Olivetti Synthesis ”, as part of the celebrations for the centenary of the birth of architect and designer Ettore Sottsass (1917-2007) . The exhibition is the first dedicated to the Synthesis 45 line of office furniture and objects, which was designed by the architect for the Olivetti Factory in 1972. Ettore Sottsass became known worldwide for his work in the postmodern group Memphis (1981-1987) . The pieces will be on display until May 14th.
