“Since it is a compact apartment, the biggest challenge was to ensure that the owner could carry out all the basic activities, such as cooking, resting, and even having a home office,” explains the architect. The professional’s first decision was to knock down all the walls and integrate the living spaces. .
Despite being small, the apartment was blessed with abundant natural light, provided by the large openings. Therefore, Ricardo opted for a more sober color palette, using black and gray as the predominant tones for the flooring, furniture, some walls and curtains. .

The kitchen walls and countertops were covered with burnt cement, and the carpentry joins the kitchen and living area, allowing the spaces to be integrated. The neon sign on the living room wall (designed by the owner, a 30-year-old advertising and design professional) is a highlight. in the decoration. It depicts a pin-up girl in red neon, creating a luminous effect that interferes with the sober colors of the rest of the apartment.

One of the highlights of the project is the good use of the bathroom area, a space of only 2.7 m². In contrast, it was completely covered in red porcelain, creating a contrast with the other sober colors. To increase the feeling of spaciousness, opted for the use of mirrors and white crockery.
