Apê in Lisbon mixes Portuguese references, Brazilian art and textures

Ancient versus modern sets the tone for this project designed by architect Andrea Chicharo , which brings together Portuguese references, Brazilian works of art and diverse textures in Lisbon (Portugal) . The apartment , with 290 m² and three suites, is located in a retrofitted building, facing Parque VII. During the jacaranda season, you get a view that is a sight to behold! The residents, Brazilians with daughters living around the world, use the apartment in Portugal as a "landing" in Europe, as they are always traveling. The building, which was previously commercial, was completely renovated to become residential. "The biggest challenge was to incorporate into the living room the pillars that were already part of the building's structure. We received the apartment with the greenish glass, painted on the back. The entrance hall, designed to be a waiting area, is entirely covered in wood and has a fireplace, which separates it from the living room ", says the professional. "I wanted to do this game of mixing styles, having the super current chairs, with metal and leather on one side, and on the other the antique Portuguese carved wooden table, with a Portuguese tile panel from the 18th century. The rug is oriental and has rustic style”, explains Andrea. On the right side of the room, a bar was created and integrated with another living space, planned to be a fluid space, with an angular sofa, a round table, two rounded armchairs and a handcrafted bench. "To harmonize everything, the rugs and sofa were chosen in a tile color," says Andrea.

In the dining room, a white marble table contrasts with the predominant wood. And, to top it off, a sculpture carved from white marble. The couple's bedroom has a TV stand and a glass chest of drawers, with a wooden mirror. Both it, the guest room and the office have wallpaper, which gives a cozy atmosphere. “The office has a sofa bed, a table to work on and Bruno Veiga’s photos of the Copacabana promenade. A mix of Brazilian, Italian, Portuguese and everything else ”, concludes Andrea.
