“Without changing the standard finishes, the construction company asked us to design a project with features that would please buyers of different profiles, full of good space-saving solutions to showcase the full potential of a compact property, including comfortably accommodating a family of four,” says Phil Nunes. “It is also important to note that this project is part of an initiative by the city of Niterói to redevelop the city center, encouraging the construction of new housing units in the region,” he adds.

Although it is an urban apartment, as the condominium overlooks Caminho Niemeyer and Guanabara Bay, the project sought to subtly reflect a beachy, chic resort atmosphere . To achieve this, the architect used a color palette with a gray and white base, punctuated by some freijó woodwork , accessories in earthy tones and rugs made of natural fibers.

The children's room was designed to be shared between two children, with playful decor and carpentry solutions that separate the sleeping area from the study area, without compromising the circulation of the room. “ The mix of checked wallpaper and maxi leaves was a simple solution , with great visual impact and more affordable cost”, points out Phil.

The couple's bedroom décor was inspired by hotel rooms, with highlights including the sepia-toned wallpaper with a plant print (which added depth and a vintage touch to the space) and the headboard made of woodwork, with frames reminiscent of classic boiseries , in a contemporary version. "We left a free corner at the end of the low cabinet, in front of the bed, which can be used as a dressing table or workbench," says the architect.
