The exhibition "
O Simbionte " by Leca Novo is on display at
CASACOR Minas Gerais 2021 , portraying new relationships about living. Through a new photographic approach, Leca
portrays the feeling of isolation in a pandemic context , in which houses, their rooms, their spaces and objects gain new meanings, in an unusual symbiotic connection with the individual.

When looking for new ways to act within photography, Leca turned her gaze to the
only environment that could be observed at that moment: the home. From a reflection on this context of people being confined to their own homes, the photographer realized that the residents' relationship with the house had changed.

But the primary search for the best angle was not. It was necessary to record this phase that no one knew how long it would last. That was when the Simbionte project was born.

The residents were photographed in moments of integration: their homes are now a place of work, therapy, family, friendship and leisure. The
mandatory presence of the resident becomes part of a new landscape. And the relationship purposefully created in the photographic environment is that of
resident is part of the house : an ecosystem conducive to symbiotic relationships.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm. Saturdays, 12pm to 10pm and Sundays, 11am to 8pm.
