The gastronomic site designed by Diego Raposo + Arquitetos , from the CASACOR cast , located in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, was designed for a young couple who are passionate about gastronomy and connecting with nature . They started the restaurant by hosting guests at home and, after a few years , they realized that they would need a space to expand their activities.

From the beginning of the creative process, the architect sought to keep the design language simple, seeking not to lose the essenceof the place .The architecture of the central pavilion was maintained, and elements and connections to create a new space were added.

The internal layout prioritizes the entry of natural light and brings the view of the neighboring pastures inside.
As a central meeting point and the perfect place for an aperitif, an island that houses the restaurant's aromatic vegetable garden was created.

When choosing materials, they prioritize finishes that convey simplicity , the value of country living and comfort. The architect chose to recreate a rustic texture on the walls that reminds us of old Brazilian wattle and daub houses.

The use of broken stones on the floor and raw cement further reinforce this idea of an environment with memories of the past.
