On 28 November, the winners of the
2018 Dezeen Awards were announced. More than 33 categories of architecture, design and interior design were chosen, revealing new and renowned professionals from around the world. Four hundred people attended the ceremony, hosted by Sir Lenny Henry. Check out some of the award highlights below and

Matthew Mazzotta's
Storefront Theatre wins Architectural Project of the Year. The project transformed an abandoned storefront in Lyons into a theater with retractable seating.
The
Lascaux International Centre for Cave Art by Casson Mann won first place in the Interior Design category. It is an interpretation centre for the world-famous painted caves in France, with a full-size, three-dimensional replica.
Dutch design duo Nadine Sterk and Lonny van Ryswyck of
Atelier NL have been named Designer of the Year.
Dutch interior design studio
i29 won the award for Interior Designer of the Year, while Danish firm
Spacon & X was named Emerging Interior Designer of the Year.
Swiss studio
Christ & Gantenbein was named Architect of the Year, while US firm
Bureau Spectacular won Emerging Architect of the Year.
