Manguning , the design is all about location, with funnel-shaped rooms that open up to views of the stunning jungle on one side and the ocean on the other. Brunsdon chose to keep the
palette of colors and
materials simple. Bamboo is abundant in the area, and so is concrete, which is the most common building material on the island.

Zermatt , Switzerland, and was redesigned by studio
Dreimeta . The new spaces are inspired by a modern interpretation of the

wooden surfaces and
natural materials , and
stunning views. Located on a
volcanic coastline in the far west of Jamaica, the

Kimamaya by Odin is a charming retreat with interiors that blend Scandinavian design and Zen style. Using a
warm palette of wood, grey walls, elm floors and black granite,
Andrew Bell of Earth Home Limited created minimalist yet luxurious spaces. Beds draped in
soft textures sit alongside straight-edged furniture from Odin’s own collection. Famed architect
Koichi Ishiguro redesigned the building,
retaining the original wooden structure to preserve the building’s history.
Luxury British chocolate brand
Hotel Chocolat has transformed the oldest cocoa farm in St. Lucia, in the Caribbean, into a dreamlike retreat. Luxe accommodations offer secluded balconies with direct views of the iconic
Petit Piton mountain and comfortable lounge chairs for hours of reading, chatting or enjoying the view. Like a traditional
cocoa farm , the hotel consists of a collection of lodges with pitched wooden roofs and stone walls. Architect
Phil Buckley oversaw the transformation of the farm, which is part of a
UNESCO World Heritage Site . Handpicked stonemasons, carpenters and painters worked to create the hotel's 25 chalets.
