Two existing mango trees in the space were the north for architects Camila Horta, Eduarda Jungmann and Isis Almeida, from We Arquitetos, to create
Cabana Haut , at
CASACOR Pernambuco 2018. The 50 m² project has a living room integrated with the kitchen, suite, bathroom and solarium, and is inspired by sensory architecture, living without excess, where technology is present to generate comfort.
“We used Scandinavian architecture as inspiration and focused on cozy decor using pieces from Brazilian designers, creating a sophisticated look,” explains the trio.
Wood is the star of the space and is present in large surfaces, on the floor, walls and ceiling, providing a feeling of spaciousness and keeping the space clean. The construction of straight lines is internally wrapped in laminated wood cladding, with a central opening. on the transparent glass ceiling for interaction with nature and use of natural light. The interior lighting project is treated with importance, to help maintain a cozy atmosphere at night. “We worked on two scales of ceiling height, one with glass in the living room that allows you to see the mango tree that provides natural shade for the cabin, and another more cozy in the room”, they explain. Finally, a fusion of paintings, works of art, books, ceramic sets and antique pieces added a touch of personality and transformed the environment into a true refuge.
