Comfort, elegance and coziness are imprinted in each choice of composition of the Pele Suite , an environment designed by architect Andressa Venturini for CASACOR Santa Catarina 2023 , on display until October 29th at the former Hotel Maria do Mar, in the capital of Santa Catarina.

"The suite was born from the idea of touching each person in different ways. The use of textures and materials, all natural, is to provoke different feelings , such as comfort, excitement, nostalgia and, above all, the desire to be in that place, to feel the emotion that the space provokes. It is a mix of inspirations and memories, many of which refer to my childhood in the Serra Gaúcha ", defines Andressa, who is participating in the exhibition for the first time.

The coziness of the space begins with the lighting, which is only indirect and focal, highlighting the materials and tones , designed for rest and disconnection. For the most part, the light tones are a counterpart to the wood and other points of strong colors, such as the Lupita armchair, by Aristeu Pires, the Matriz bench and the London tower, both by Jader Almeida.

Andressa distributed various colors on both the walls and the furniture that evoke skin tones , further reinforcing the concept that gives the suite its name. On the raw travertine marble floor, by Ecco Conceito, the architect presents yet another texture in this connection between the guest and nature.

Ubiquitous and made of darkened European oak, the platform connects almost the entire suite, allowing for different uses, from the sofa to the bed and bench, as well as support for the bathtub , created in granite and strategically positioned in front of the windows of the old hotel.
And to watch what is considered the most beautiful sunset on the island, wooden frames were created on the windows, transforming the view into works of art . Wood also appears on the slats that divide the bath area from the sink counter.

And in this materialization of comfort, also visual, the architect selected a diptych panel signed by Heloísa Crocco , two works by Camila Saavedra and one of the dolls from the As Gurias collection, by Inês Schertel , as the works of art that make up the Pele Suite. There is also a tear in the wall that, in a poetic way, "refers to looking inside, to looking deeply".
