In the centenary of Modern Art Week , a modernist pavilion designed by architect and designer Mário Costa Santos occupies the garden of CASACOR Rio 2022 . There are two spaces – living room and gourmet kitchen – that are connected by a central courtyard where the sculpture Caridade is kept. The décor features classic modern furniture and a careful selection of art curated by Heloísa Amaral Peixoto. On the façade, the metal structure of CMC Modular was covered by brise-soleils that bring the impact of modern architecture. With so many attributes in favor of this construction model – such as clean and sustainable construction, low maintenance, speed of execution, versatility, technology and efficient logistics for the creation of modern and uncomplicated environments – it is still possible to find modules with different sizes and heights , which allows you to abuse your creativity. Mário used four grouped modules , forming two separate volumes that house the beautiful marble statue that exists on site - the starting point for his project. According to the architect, the choice of materials was crucial to the project, ensuring that everything fit within the concept of modernism.
