The
CASACOR building in Rio de Janeiro was the inspiration for the layout of
Varanda Deca , a project designed by
Mauricio Nóbrega for the 29th edition of the show.
The historicity of its architecture dates back to art deco and the 1930s, which lends a certain elegance to the architect's relaxed reinterpretation. It has 320 m² that offers outdoor relaxation in front of the blue of Guanabara Bay – which, in perspective, seems to merge with the waters of the pool installed on the axis of the balcony-SPA.
The space invites visitors to spend a few minutes observing the landscape in tranquility. Armchairs, poufs and lamps articulate the decoration of the balcony and make it habitable. Furthermore, a video installation by
Alexandre Mazza takes shape at the entrance to the space, complemented by a seating area. relaxation with three massage tables, design by Mauricio Nóbrega.
The building's famous architecture is balanced by modern furniture and a darker palette for Deca's products, which also feature a matte finish that increases their lifespan and makes them more resistant to abrasion.
