When designing the
Living Room at
CASA COR Paraná 2016 , architect Ivan Wodzinsky had a clear objective: to elegantly and exquisitely exalt art and its composition in the space.
The professional values noble materials and expresses a vintage style from the 60s and 70s through prints and textures of fabrics that cover the furniture and walls of the place.
The wall coverings combine the use of stone with velvet fabric, creating a space of sensations. Among the standout items are the Murano vases and the mobile by artist Ignacio Gatica.
The living room is also highlighted by the 60 m² rug from Originale Maison, characterized as the largest in the exhibition, which features the exclusive design of the Italian artist Antonio Meneghetti.
But the highlights are in the center of the space: two life-size felines: the 'Luar do Sertão' and the 'Tigre Escruando a Cobra', bronze pieces that make up the collection of the sculptor João Turin from Paraná, one of the most important representatives of Brazilian animal art. Both pieces were awarded in different editions of the Salão Nacional de Belas Artes, and have become icons of the work of the Paraná native.
To enrich the space, works from SIM Galeria were also used, such as the work Barcode, by German artist Katinka Pilscheur, measuring five meters in length.
