In her debut at
CASACOR , architect Sabrina Salles brings to the São Paulo show the
Canto da Toscana space - a mix of elements and styles that give life to a 49m² gourmet area.

“The interior design concept was inspired by timeless architecture with history and classic elements mixed with contemporary ones,” explains the architect.

The project was inspired by the history of Italian coffee barons and immigrants - which also influenced the choice of the project's name. The architect wanted to bring the Tuscan air by adding rustic and biophilic elements.

Despite portraying a bygone era, the project has a very current presence with elements that surprise and allow a true journey through time.

It was this connection between the rustic elements and the air of the Italian city, added to the nature present in the space that brought the connection with the theme of the 2022 exhibition: Particular Infinity, “It was from the visual permeability, from the affective memory through the classic elements with history and memories of old mansions that I connected the space to the theme”, he reveals.

The coverings were handpicked to create the concept that the architect wanted so much. Elements such as porcelain, brick, wood, stone, metalwork, glass, combined with a select color palette set the tone for the project.

The warm, earthy tones seen in the Tuscan style were combined with the timeless concept, providing a counterpoint to the neutral tones present in the space. The mix created a Provençal feel. The architect opted for elements that created a true interaction between the interior and exterior spaces.

To achieve exactly the desired effect, the office designed an island with a two-piece top, made of ultra-compact veneer. “We also highlighted the entrance pergola, designed by our office, and the decorative window and the fluid floor layout that we wanted to create. at the entrance”.
