Before finding her way into landscaping, Elaine Kalil graduated as an interior designer, but never worked in the field. Her interest in manipulating nature arose when she moved to the countryside of São Paulo, where she was able to turn her attention to plants. She began doing small projects at home and for friends, until she decided to specialize in the area in 2012. During her studies, she met Argentinean landscaper Mauricio Ferre, with whom she founded the company Kalil Ferre Paisagismo in 2013. Elaine is currently pursuing a solo career, creating gardens that prioritize native species, with a sustainable approach.
