Time Out magazine has released a list of the 20 best gastronomic destinations of 2026. The ranking evaluated restaurants in Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania based on the opinions of 24,000 residents from 150 cities. Among the criteria used were food quality, infrastructure, price accessibility, and the presence of gastronomy in the local culture.

The survey placed Lima, in Peru, in first place and also highlighted the city as the most affordable destination to eat among those evaluated. In turn, Brazil had no representatives in this year's selection. Below, discover the places that appear in the ranking and the flavors that represent each region!

1st - Lima, Peru


The Peruvian capital takes first place among the gastronomic destinations of 2026 thanks to the combination of tradition and innovation. Local cuisine brings together Indigenous, Spanish, African, and Asian influences, creating one of the most recognized gastronomic scenes in Latin America. One of the city's most emblematic dishes is ceviche.

2nd - Bangkok, Thailand
