From
CASACOR to people's homes. This is the partnership between the largest architecture, interior design and landscaping exhibition in the Americas and the
Fazendinhando Institute , which in 2022 will receive, for the second time, the donation of wooden coverings and furniture pieces from of the
35th edition of CASACOR São Paulo , which took place at Conjunto Nacional. The coverings – around 250m² of material – were removed from the environments presented this year and are now being used to bring
quality of life to homes that urgently need renovations in the Jardim Colombo community, where the Fazendinhando Institute, co-founded by architect and urban activist
Ester, operates.

The high-quality material is already being used to change the lives of
seven families in the neighborhood, who have already had a room in their homes renovated by Fazendeiras, women from the community who have been professionally trained in the construction industry by the NGO, to work on construction projects. and local revitalization. “
Last year, the material donated by CASACOR was used to renovate Dani’s House , an unsanitary 24m² space where Daniela lived with her family. This time, we decided to expand our reach and accommodate more residents. We have already completed seven homes, choosing one room in each one, to receive coverings that guarantee not only quality of life, but self-esteem of the inhabitants of these spaces, who participate in the choice of covering and
can feel proud of the place where they live ”, explains Ester Carro.
The renovations, which should
reach 12 homes by the end of the year , are part of the
FazendoLar project, which is based on aesthetic quality and functionality, providing dignity and enabling different uses of the environments to the families involved, aligning the architecture with the needs presented in each situation, to promote well-being. “
CASACOR is our great partner and the show’s concern with social responsibility is very important, as it connects the world of architecture and trends with reality, with
sustainability and with
female empowerment , by bringing important donations like this one, which will act directly to change the relationship of these people that we are able to serve with their homes”, says Ester.

CASACOR São Paulo continues with its
waste management program – implemented in 2016 – which has gone through several stages, starting with raising awareness among work teams and architects in the cast, to reach the mark of
99.7% waste reuse , in addition to to adopt measures such as dry works, saving and reusing water resources, energy saving, selective collection, recycling program and proper disposal of waste, promoting the circular economy.
André Secchin , CASACOR’s General Director, explains that the deliveries are part of two fundamental pillars of the brand:
sustainability and
social responsibility . “These two elements are the driving force behind the entire event and have been developing more and more with each edition. One of the main actions in this cycle takes place after the event, when donations of construction materials resulting from the dismantling of the event are made to NGOs.” This year, the partnership between Fazendinhando and CASACOR São Paulo included, in addition to the delivery of construction material after the end of the event, the donation of R$1.00 for each ticket sold at the show, which ended in September. In December, The NGO will also hold a
Construction Bazaar , where residents of Jardim Colombo will be able to choose more construction materials from CASACOR and other donations to improve their homes. To donate, visit:
