The largest wooden construction in the world is inaugurated at Expo Osaka
Designed to emphasize the sense of unity, the Expo Osaka inaugurates the largest wooden architectural structure in the world, entitled "Grand Ring". The construction is inspired by an ancient Japanese temple and structured by enormous trusses with an area of over 61,000 m².

Signed by architect Sou Fujimoto, the structure symbolizes the unity among the nations participating in the event. It occupies a central position in the Expo's master plan, in addition to serving as the main circulation route of the space. With an investment of US$ 230 million, the “Grand Ring, which defines it as the largest wooden construction in the world.

The Expo 2025 began this Sunday (13) in the Japanese city of Osaka, and will take place until October 13. The theme chosen for the event was “The Society of the Future
