Located in Praça Alexandre de Gusmão, just a few meters from Avenida Paulista, the
Dolce Gusto Neo Flagship , designed by
Estúdio Guto Requena , combines innovation,
sustainability and
architecture . It is the first building in Latin America to have its shape created through algorithms and to be manufactured with the help of
3D printing in biodegradable materials .

This project was conceived for the launch of the new Dolce Gusto Neo line, which uses
recycled plastic taken from the ocean to manufacture its machines and biodegradable material in the composition of its capsules.

Architecture is an invitation to reflect on
possible futures that need to be designed, in light of the current climate emergency that the planet is facing.
Form and inspiration
Inspired by the delicate five-petal
coffee flower , the Concept Store is structured like a dome formed by five axes, each marked by a glass portico, enabling a building that has no front or back, thus providing
permeability of flows and 360º visibility of the green surroundings.
(Leonardo Finotti/CASACOR)
Its interior takes advantage of the external structure , organizing the store's program and serving as a base for product supports and
displays . The five curved LED panels create a circular axis of digital content, reinforcing the visual integration of the axes.
A zenithal glass opening brings
sunlight into the building , helping to create a
temple -like atmosphere , with its organic form inspired by nature.
Sustainability
(Leonardo Finotti/CASACOR)
The architecture is composed of a
prefabricated structure in Glued Laminated Timber (MLC) made from
pine , reforested wood. It is surrounded by a shell built from molds machined in 3D printing, to ensure the plastic
lightness of the work and the use of thinner beams.
(Leonardo Finotti/CASACOR)
Just as important as the construction of the
flagship was the
reverse engineering planning of the construction. Two main materials were used in its construction: wood and plaster. After the store is dismantled, in approximately two years,
the wood will be recycled and the plaster will be crushed and used as
agricultural fertilizer , providing nutrients such as calcium and sulfur to the soil.
