March 22 is World Water Day: what does the date represent?
Celebrated on March 22, World Water Day is an important date to remember the importance of this resource for the maintenance of the ecosystem and life (human, plant and animal), as well as to revive the agenda of awareness and good preservation practices.

How did World Water Day come about?

The date was established by the UN on February 21, 1993 with the aim of alerting people about the importance of preserving natural resources.

As prescribed in Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Water , “the balance and future of our planet depend on the preservation of water and its cycles . These must remain intact and functioning normally to ensure the continuity of life on Earth. This balance depends in particular on the preservation of the seas and oceans, where the cycles begin.”
Remember: small gestures also count a lot!

2- Use the water from the washing machine

The water used to wash clothes can be reused for other purposes, such as washing the yard. This way, you avoid waste – and your routine becomes much more practical!

3- Do not wash sidewalks with hoses

Despite their practicality, hoses represent a waste of 120 liters of water when used for this purpose. So, how about replacing the use of the hose with a broom or, at most, a bucket of water? The same goes for car washes!

4- Check for leaks

Leaks are a problem that many homes have to deal with. In addition to mold and all the other harmful effects that they cause, they also waste a lot of water. In these cases, it is important to seek specialized help. Discover this and other sustainable practices on CASACOR's Instagram: @casacor_sustentavel .
