Floating Cities are suspended constructions over oceans, rivers, or lakes. They emerge as a creative response to the challenges posed by climate change, especially in contexts of urban expansion marked by recurring floods during rainy periods. To better understand the obstacles and possibilities of this construction model in the Brazilian context, CASACOR spoke with the specialist Marcella Arruda. Curator of the 14th International Architecture Biennale of São Paulo, which had the theme "Architecture for a Hot World", Marcella is an architect, urban planner, and researcher. Her work focuses on socially just projects and ecologically regenerative initiatives, including studies related to floating cities.
