Just as it is not possible to take a shower without wasting water and drive a car without polluting the air, it is also not possible to produce a large-scale event, such as CASACOR São Paulo , without generating an impact on the environment. Aiming for a show each increasingly sustainable and aware of the effects of carbon emissions on the atmosphere, CASACOR São Paulo has entered into a partnership with Carbon Free Brasil – a company whose purpose is to improve the environment in which we live , raise awareness among people and inspire sustainable changes – to neutralize the carbon emitted not only through the exhibition, but also in the production of the yearbook.

Carbon neutralization means capturing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere that are emitted during activities and incorporating them into forestry projects . Thus, Carbon Free Brasil will neutralize the CO2 emissions of the CASACOR São Paulo event and yearbook by planting native trees in the Atlantic Forest areas, contributing to the provision of water and clean air, among other ecosystem services, for the cities in the state of São Paulo.
Tree planting is carried out with the supervision of the Carbon Free Brasil technical team , with biologists and environmental engineers who ensure the growth of the plants and, consequently, the fixation of carbon . “Today, those who take action in relation to sustainability have a huge advantage in the market”, says Luiz Henrique Terhorst , CEO of Carbon Free Brasil.

“Neutralizing the carbon footprint of the CASACOR São Paulo event as a whole helps in several ways: you demonstrate that the brand cares about the environment and its visitors, not just when they are at the show. It cares about the environment that is everyone living ,” he explains.

In 2021, CASACOR São Paulo adopted a series of measures and solutions aligned with the CASACOR Sustainability Program . Despite the new challenges arising from this moment of intense social transformation, the São Paulo show managed to maintain its higher Waste Recovery Index in 2021. 99%; expanded industrialized and reusable buildings; maintained carbon emissions compensation; and achieved the HBC Certification (Healthy Building Certificate). This year, with the Carbon Free seal – based on international carbon measurement methodologies (ISO 14064, GHG protocol and IPCC) – CASACOR São Paulo will become yet another brand that contributes to improving society's quality of life .
