Held in the first week of June, the
National Environment Week is honored through sustainable actions at
CASACOR São Paulo 2025. More than appreciating aesthetics, the event reinforces its commitment to
conscious practices that positively impact the present and the future.

Among the initiatives are the Zero Waste certification, carbon neutralization, and donation of materials to NGOs, as well as efficient water use, renewable energy, and encouragement of the local economy. Each of the projects that compose the exhibition also includes specific practices proposed by the architects. The objective is clear: unite architecture, design, and landscaping with concrete actions in favor of the projects. Sustainable design at CASACOR SP 2025
Circular economy and upcycling have stood out as sustainable approaches in architecture and design by promoting the reuse of materials and the reduction of waste. Zanardo Paisagismo - Jardim do Círculo de Pedras. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. (Bia Nauiack/CASACOR)
At CASACOR SP 2025, these practices were incorporated into various projects, showing how it is possible to unite creativity and environmental responsibility. The projects reinforce the exhibition's commitment to durable and conscious solutions. Discover some examples during Environment Week: Possible Futures – Gisele Taranto
Gisele Taranto is one of the main examples of sustainable design at CASACOR SP 2025. The architect developed a 70 m2 space that hosts lectures and showcases the 100% electric Peugeot E-2008, using modular blocks of recycled plastic in the construction. Compared to brickwork, the method can reduce carbon emissions in the atmosphere by up to 90%. Gisele Taranto Arquitetura - Futuros Possíveis por Peugeot. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. Forneria San Paolo – Modular Studio + Stage.Aec
The 165 m2 restaurant operates in a modular construction of wood and metal. The architecture has a low environmental impact thanks to industrialized systems and high-durability renewable materials – a result of the partnership between Modular Studio and Stage.AEC. Modular Studio + Stage.AEC - Forneria San Paolo.
The sustainable highlight of João Panaggio's 170 m2 tiny house is the reuse of the metallic structure that supports the project. The architect had previously reused the material on two other occasions, both at CASACOR Rio de Janeiro. João Panaggio - Claro na Casa Paulistana. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. Casa Vitra – Leo Shehtman
Another who took advantage of materials used in previous editions of the exhibition was Léo Shehtman, in his 76 m2 living room. The central element of the architecture is the glass brick wall – which had been used in the Casa LG project, signed back then by architect Otto Felix, stored by CASACOR since then. Léo Shehtman Arquitetura e Design - Tempo Presente. Casa Viva – Henrique Freneda
Henrique Freneda also deserves recognition during Environment Week. His tiny house of 29.5 m2 is yet another example of dry construction, made with reforestation wood, cement boards, and glass with UV protection. The absence of high environmental impact materials and the non-generation of waste were concerns of the project. Henrique Freneda - Casa Viva. Projeto da CASACOR São Paulo 2025. Legacy to Parque da Água Branca
Several other projects at CASACOR SP can be mentioned for the revitalization of the original taco and granilite floors of Parque da Água Branca. Some examples are: Paula Neder, Maurício Arruda, Yara Elias, Rodolfo Consoli, and Gabriel Fernandes. This measure, in addition to reducing the demand for materials, leaves a sustainable legacy for the park after the exhibition ends. Maurício Arruda - Casa Coral – Cores do Parque.
