This is the fourth year that the commitment to Zero Waste has been a priority onCASACOR São Paulo 's agenda . In the last edition, the show received an A grade for good practices and, this year, it partnered with Pachamama to work on carbon offsetting and also achieved an impressive 99.8% landfill diversion rate. The result of this series of actions aligned with sustainability could not have been different: CASACOR once again received the Zero Waste Certificate .Respecting the methodology established by the Zero Waste International Alliance (ZWIA), through the Instituto Lixo Zero Brasil, the audit aims to evaluate the application of the Zero Waste hierarchy , both based on the documents submitted and on-site inspection. Among the priority criteria were Redesign, Reduction and Reuse, Composting, Recycling, Reverse Logistics, Zero Waste Policy, Innovation, Control and Monitoring .

In addition to adopting measures that stimulate the circular economy , such as dry construction, reuse of water resources, energy savings, selective collection, recycling programs and proper disposal of waste, the São Paulo show also donates construction materials resulting from the dismantling of the event to NGOs."The sustainable practices we have implemented, not only in terms of control and rational application of materials for reuse, but also in the correct disposal of waste, make the exhibition a great example for the market", explains Darlan Firmato, Operations Director at CASACOR.
