In its 30 years of history,
CASACOR Rio de Janeiro has become a reference in the world of living, having presented those passionate about decoration and architecture with environments that are true experiences. Since its inauguration, many professionals have passed through the exhibition, offering the best of their expertise and experience. With this in mind, the portal A Cor da Casa launched the
project "Interiors" , which will welcome great names in architecture who have made history within CASACOR Rio de Janeiro. The first guest is
Chicô Gouvêa , an architect with vast experience in interiors, who carries the mobile resume and images that reinterpret Brazil. A great veteran of the Rio de Janeiro show, Gouvêa only did not participate in six editions, out of a total of 29.
Among his inspirations are the experiences he has in his daily life. “I love working and I live reading, watching, searching, traveling and trying to stay up to date,” he says, although he says he doesn’t “believe in trends,” such as the color or material of the moment. . When asked about who inspires him, Chicô mentions two “eye icons”: Frank Lloyd Wright and David Hicks — whom he has followed since he was 26.
In addition to his inspirations, Chicô also shared his perception of the changes that homes will undergo once the pandemic is over. “Living today is what it will be like in the coming times. The home has to be your ‘everything’: office, entertainment, research and we must have around us everything that makes us feel good and alive." For him, the home also has to be a refuge "without anxiety", where we can find our peace of mind again.
