CASACOR 2001

Back in 2001, Toninho Noronha predicted that integrating an office into the bedroom would be a good idea. With a futuristic feel, the space showed that it is possible to be versatile, welcoming and, to top it off, have an inspiring design that reflects the elegance of his work. Clever ideas incorporated into the design can be seen right here: be it on the acrylic and gray lacquer shelf next to the raised bed.

Investing in a contemporary base , Toninho Noronha showed that he can surprise. Straight lines, diverse volumes and bold materials make up the Master Bedroom and create a balanced mix of colors and textures. “I created a space for a young couple who want to live in the third millennium with pure luxury, without giving up the practicality that modernity offers.”, says the architect.

The choice of gold in contrast to beige was Toninho's strategy to create a neutral and cozy base , but with a modern touch, using a color that is simply "a classic" in the expert's view.

The 70 m² were very well used in this loft created for a young person, just over 20 years old. The composition invested in contrasting colors to the neutral base, with different patterns and fashionable prints . The idea was to create a comfortable and beautiful space , but above all practical for a young woman who works and wants to be closer to her clients.

The space harmoniously integrates the bedroom, living room, home office, bathroom and kitchen . A feminine atmosphere mixing floral fabrics and shades of green creates a beautiful and personalized space.

Strongly influenced by the Art Deco style of the 1930s, Toninho Noronha innovated with modern pieces in a very contemporary space. “Art Deco is one of the styles that has survived the most over time due to the modernity of its designs and shapes,” says Toninho, “the glass bricks on the walls, the iron window sills with geometric motifs, abstract nature (foliage) and vertical stripes, the beautiful green color of all of this, are very striking elements of the style and that guided the entire project.” The eye-catching carpet (Santa Monica) steals the show and stands out in the space. It was custom-ordered for the event and featured a pattern designed by Toninho in partnership with architect Renato Andrade .

Back to its roots, Noronha rescues its classic palette in shades of gray - from light to graphite . Still, the composition featured an unexpected combination of gold, bronze and blue . According to Toninho, "the best thing about our Brazilianness is our mix of cultures, races, styles and concepts. The mix of what is original to our land with what we have managed to absorb from the rest of the world, and it was in this aspect that I was inspired."

In addition to the bedroom, the suite includes a bathroom with a walk-in closet and a small space for a home office . All without obvious partitions so as not to compromise circulation and furniture layout.

The Dining Room designed by Toninho adhered to the concept of "simplicity, comfort and lightness" and was successful in reconciling these three pillars. “I don’t like following trends because they stifle creativity and make the environment temporary. But of course trends end up guiding the project in one way or another, and there’s no problem with that, as long as it happens naturally, not forced, because ‘living’ should be pleasant and light,” says Toninho Noronha. For the architect, after decades of individualism, the proposal for the space is to create a welcoming atmosphere, integrating the environment to share experiences .
