If meeting the client's wishes is always a priority, in the world of architecture this becomes even more important, since it is someone's home or any other space where the person will certainly spend long periods of time. Renan Altera , who designed Ninho & Aspargos at CASACOR São Paulo 2023 , is one of those professionals who always seek to combine the client's wishes with new developments, never giving up on the trends that emerge all the time.

“Now is the time to connect, to feel cozy and seek a sense of lightness. CASACOR itself has been bringing the theme of ' Body and Home ' this year. In other words: the home is the refuge and that is the main trend . Some others were very much dictated at the last Milan Expo and, even though we have been through turbulent times, now is finally the time to seek the balance that a well-planned environment brings", explains Renan, who is CEO of Altera Arquitetura .

"The curved lines and the absence of corners , for example, give us a sense of continuity and are gaining ground. Colors too, in addition to greater contact with nature", he continues.

Experienced in his field, the architect confesses that this does not exempt him from encountering difficulties along the way.

However, Renan confesses that facing this moment is not a problem when you are passionate about what you do, especially when technological innovations are renewed quickly. “The impact is very positive and I think it is important to understand this in order to know how to deal with them. Whether in automation, new software or even new ways of visualizing the project, all of this ends up increasing the quality of what is done. We always seek to combine trends with the initial request to deliver a differentiated concept full of refined details .”

“The world of architecture is changing every day. We need to be aligned with all aspects , whether it’s the location we’re in, technology or trends. The important thing is to meet the needs and preferences full of sophistication and comfort ,” Renan concludes. To further exemplify the décor that the architect applied to his project for this year's São Paulo show, Renan listed the 10 most popular trends at the moment: 1. Rounded design and organic shapes; 2. Natural colors; 3. Natural lighting; 4. Biophilic design; 5. Integrated and multifunctional environments; 6. Comfy decoration; 7. Sustainability; 8. Natural elements; 9. Comfort and well-being; 10. The idea of having the house as a true refuge.
