In another year at CASACOR São Paulo , architect Rafa Zampini raises the level of creativity even further and invites visitors to escape from the urban hustle and bustle with the speakeasy bar Adorado , a 120 m² space on the top floor of the São Paulo exhibition. With an aesthetic reminiscent of
Art Deco , Bar Adorado transports us to the
speakeasy bars that emerged in the
1920s in the United States, during the height of this artistic movement that influenced the visual arts and architecture.
Inspired by the film "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and the work of Edward Hopper, Zampini balances colors such as dark green and burgundy to create an exclusive hotel atmosphere. “Only after waiting in the entrance lounge, which resembles a hotel reception somewhere in time, and passing through the velvet curtains do we arrive at the central desk”, explains Rafa. Behind the counter carved in green Vitória-Régia marble, backlit milk glass panels offer adjustable diffused light, ideal for different occasions, from intimate parties to birthday celebrations. The environment captures the essence of drinks and aperitifs in hidden environments, with volumetric rosettes on the ceiling, patterned paper and boiserie on the walls and a certain mystery brought by the soft, indirect lighting . “Music that’s too loud gets in the way, but at the same time, we didn’t want a monastery”, jokes Rafa Zampini. “We designed a place to talk, without having to shout, also providing moments when we just want a private refuge to listen to good music”, he adds.
