The new Dior store in Miami received an inspiring and bold facade. The boutique's design is designed by French office Barbarito Bancel Archtectes and is located in the Miami Design District, next to luxury storefronts such as Hermès and Louis Vuitton.

The architects were inspired by pleated skirt models, which are characterized by their pleats, and were launched by Dior in 2007, in the Spring-Summer collection, with an influence on Japanese fashion. To achieve this, the professionals created a composition of curved panels, with high technology, made of concrete and marble dust.

"Through the large curvatures of the white concrete panels, the pleated façade gains shape and movement", explain architects Benjamin Bancel and Ivana Barbarito.

The store is even more beautiful at night, where built-in white lights give movement and life to the facade.

On the store's ground floor, large silver-framed windows provide a clear view into the spacious boutique area, which offers women's clothing and accessories. The property has a restricted color palette of grays and whites. Rectangular silver shelves are suspended from the ceiling with pieces from the store. "We don't want the building to look like an institution or a museum", point out the architects.

On the upper floor, the client is faced with a wooden terrace, rich in plants and flowers.

The design is also inspired by Miami, portrayed in images of sun and beaches, along with an idea of dynamism, youth and contemporary.
