Neither too much nor too little: just the essentials. In her seventh participation in CASACOR SC | Itapema , architect Natália Xavier incorporates the concept of "lagom", from Swedish philosophy, into the creation of her space, which means living in balance in all daily spheres. There is a special reason for her immersion in Scandinavian aesthetics : the professional was invited to design the Volvo Dimas space, where the Swedish brand's EX30 model is on display. "I looked for this lifestyle reference, as well as the Scandinavian aesthetic that proposes occupying the space in a light and balanced way with few elements and a lot of comfort. With
160m2 , the space integrates a garage with a living room, dining room and home office. It was designed for people who are passionate about cars, but who seek privacy when spending time with friends", says Natália.
The space features
light walls, scenic lighting and functional furniture , with emphasis on the use of wood that creates a cozy atmosphere. Natália divides the functions well through the arrangement of the furniture: for example, the Officer desk by Guilherme Wentz and the objects from Volvo define the
home office , along with a collection of 48 paintings by Cassia Aresta that covers the wall, bringing rhythm to the composition.
"Among soft and striking lines, textures and neutral colors, the consecrated and essential design becomes a backdrop for the inclusion of elements with
Brazilian design and architecture , such as wood, contributing to a cultural legacy that extends across generations", comments the architect.
